KISAN II, grantee Sana Kisan Krishi Sahakari Sanstha Ltd of Shantinagr-7 of Dang district has been providing its services to its members and farmers of Shantinagar Rural Municipality as well as to the farmers of Babai Rural Municipality. Since its establishment, farmers have been receiving services such as saving, credit, loan, fertilizers, collection of milk and many others.

 

At present, SKKSS is working to make its member farmers more familiar with digital technology and increasing the use of ICT (Information, Communication and Technology). To achieve this goal, SKKSS is focused on being familiar with the use of different applications for various administrative and strategic purposes. As a part of this, GeoKrishi in collaboration with SKKSS got an opportunity to orient the use of GeoKrishi, which is a mobile based application containing the information related to efficient agriculture and livestock production methods including weather forecast, crop protection and pest management.

The BLP (Business Literacy Program) classes of KISAN II also provides information to the members about ICT tools and technologies. The members are now aware on use of different mobile applications that are useful in daily agricultural practices. The BLP classes has given good impact on the members to be familiar with different mobile applications with the benefits on using those applications on daily life.
